I found out at my doctor's appointment on Wednesday that I weigh 267lbs. He told me I had lost 2 lbs. since my last appt. the month before. I had this appt. the day before my first consult was scheduled. I wanted to start the 6 month plan so I can get going.

Ok..so I was scheduled for my first visit with the doctor on Thursday. However, I received a call from my husband that he was in a car accident. He totaled the car and it caught on fire on impact but he is okay. As a result, I went to the doctor's office and they rescheduled me for an appointment next month. So I have to wait some more. They also told me that I do have to have the 6-months of supervised weight loss intervention from my doctor first and then I can get approved. Don't know how someone I know was able to get his surgery done in two months with just showing the three years of showing he has had problems with being obese. He has the same insurance I have but he used a different office. Maybe I should contact that office too. I definitely have the three years under my belt.

Ok...so I meet with the surgeon tomorrow for my first visit. I am excited! I also learned that my insurance company changed a requirement that may work in my favor! So hopefully that will be something that can get me scheduled for the surgery sooner rather than later. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I have researched and researched so much information about the Lapband that it is ridiculous. I am so anxious to get everything moving. At least I have my first appt. next month. Time is going so slow..

I wish time could move forward and I had my surgery date. Ugh....I know it will come but it seems so far away.

I am so anxious to get the process going. My very supportive husband told me that a coworker of his had the procedure. He asked the guy if he could talk to me about everything and he said of course. So I am glad that I will have someone that I can talk to face-to-face about things as well.
